Schüco Polymer Technologies KG
In the spotlight*
Schüco Polymer Technologies KG has over 35 years of experience in the development, production and sale of innovative PVC-U system technology. As a wholly-owned Schüco subsidiary, it handles the strategically important PVC-U business division of the Group. Schüco Polymer Technologies is an expert and reliable partner in over 50 countries for PVC-U fabricators, distributors of ready made units, architects and specifiers, housing development associations and investors as well as private clients. More than 1000 employees develop, produce and sell high-quality and sustainable system solutions for PVC-U windows, doors and sliding doors. In addition to profile systems, our product portfolio also includes fittings, ventilation solutions and other accessory components.
Whether for residential or commercial projects, newbuilds or renovations, Schüco Polymer Technologies provides products for sustainable building envelopes, which meet the highest requirements in terms of energy efficiency, security, comfort and design. And Schüco offers all of its partners a comprehensive service at every stage of the building process.
Schüco Carbon Control – Minimising CO2 in construction
One of the major challenges of our time is achieving climate neutrality in the building sector. The construction industry has the task of achieving the ambitious targets set by politicians and reducing the CO2 emissions generated during the construction, operation and dismantling of buildings to zero. With Carbon Control, Schüco is offering a modular range of various products and services over the entire lifecycle of a building, which enables the decarbonisation of windows, doors and sliding doors to be monitored on a project-specific basis.
By choosing the right materials, Schüco partners can actively control the construction emissions in the building envelope and therefore have a positive influence on the carbon footprint of the property. All Schüco PVC-U systems contribute towards the decarbonisation of the building envelope. Depending on their design, all profiles have a GWP value between 0.51 and 2.30 kg CO2e per kg of profile. In addition, materials that have already been installed must be increasingly reused in future so that they can contribute to sustainability as recyclable materials in the circular economy. That is why Schüco has been actively promoting plastic recycling for many years and, as a founding member of Rewindo and the first VinylPlus certified company, is a pioneer in the industry. With RE:CORE GmbH, Schüco wants to further expand this commitment to its sustainability objectives. RE:CORE GmbH will therefore manage the PVC-U recycling process, with the aim of closing the Schüco PVC material loop and offering Schüco partner companies an exclusive recycling service for old windows and profile offcuts from the window industry.
Sustainability in practice at Schüco Polymer Technologies KG
