Fensterbau Frontale – June date without GKFP and the European system houses
The European Association for PVC Window Profile and related Building Products (EPPA), our Gütegemeinschaft as co-exhibitor and their members cancel their participation in this June's Fensterbau Frontale. The major players in the European PVC profile market agree that the current COVID 19 crisis does not allow for such an event.
On Monday, 9 March 2020, the exhibition management informed the PVC window profile industry that Fensterbau Frontale will be postponed to 16-19 June 2020. The reason for the postponement is the current corona crisis, which affects not only Germany but the whole world.
The decision of the leading European trade fair for windows and doors affects our industry in a special way. For this reason, the industry has been intensively occupied in recent days with the current situation and the possible effects of the COVID 19 pandemic. "Since it is to be expected that the peak of the spread is still ahead of us, it is completely uncertain whether the alternative date in June can be kept at all", explains Gerald Feigenbutz, Managing Director of the Gütegemeinschaft. However, the Gütegemeinschaft would support the search for an alternative date at a later date.
