The RENOLIT Group is a globally active specialist for high-quality plastic films, sheets and other polymer solutions. With more than thirty production sites and sales units in over twenty countries, and with annual sales of EUR 1.279 billion in fiscal year 2021, the company with headquarters in Worms – around 70 km south of Frankfurt-am-Main – is one of the world’s leading plastic products manufacturers. Around 5,000 employees continue to further develop the knowledge and expertise gained from seventy-five years of business.

Der RENOLIT film service

The RENOLIT film service provides window manufacturers and system houses with the necessary tools for film repair and is also an integral part of RENOLIT's warranty system. Repairing the surface often saves having to replace the entire component if the profile has been damaged or incorrectly cleaned on site or burglars have left their mark.

The service department offers three training facilities: low-cost one-day seminars in the company's own training centre located in Worms, Germany with a guided tour of the factory, online seminars or on-site training at the customer's premises. Equipped with a certificate of participation, the customers can then purchase and use the repair films. A slitting service for customised film roll sizes as well as trade accessories such as Professional Cleaner, Professional Corner Pen, Professional Masking Tape and Detector complete the range of products and services.

RENOLIT EXOFOL

How do I clean high performance films correctly?

The common mistake when cleaning is to do too much, damaging the surface of the film. This may happen not only to homeowners and tenants, but also to professional cleaners and skilled workers on construction sites. After all, despite all the care taken, traces of plaster, glue or paint always end up on the decorative film surface.

The basic rule is: never use abrasive or solvent cleaning solutions or sharp-edged tools, and do not scrub or rub the surface vigorously. In both cases, the PMMA or PVDF layer of the RENOLIT EXOFOL films will be damaged, which will impair the UV protection.

As simple as it sounds: Hot water and standard washing-up liquid are sufficient even if tile adhesive, paint or plaster residues need to be removed. And even for spring cleaning, warm tap water, a squirt of washing-up liquid and a soft brush or sponge are perfectly sufficient to gently remove dust and winter dirt.
