Sustainability at REHAU Window Solutions has been a lived practice for decades: more than 60 per cent of the total production tonnage contains recycled material. Three in-house recycling plants in Germany, the UK and Poland collect around 70,000 tonnes of recycled material per year. REHAU Window Solutions covers 100 per cent of its own recycled material for profile extrusion. The markets benefit from sustainable profile systems with a recycled content of up to 80 per cent. The consistent integration of recyclates results in almost 88 per cent less CO₂ emissions compared to the use of standard PVC. REHAU Window Solutions saves a total of 100,000 tonnes of CO₂ per year. The EcoPuls label is proof of REHAU Window Solutions' forward-looking circular economy: fully closed and completely from a single source.

The next decisive step is urban mining - by tracking the installed windows. REHAU Window Solutions ensures that every single house can become a source of raw materials for future generations of windows. The digital window passport REHAU Window.ID enables full transparency and, in addition to traceability, also offers efficiencies and added value along the entire value chain. Innovations are constantly optimising the REHAU circular economy and generating new, promising business models. This creates future security and equips partners and customers of REHAU Window Solutions with stable options for challenges such as the EU Green Deal initiative, the EU taxonomy, the Renovation Wave and the shortage of skilled labour.

This consistent strategic development will culminate in ARTEVO TERRA in 2024. The 360-degree performance of the innovative ARTEVO profile system is the basis for TERRA. The specialists at REHAU Window Solutions are introducing bio-attributed PVC as a uniquely sustainable material into the portfolio. ARTEVO TERRA saves up to 90 per cent of CO₂ emissions compared to the use of virgin PVC thanks to bio-attributed PVC and consists almost entirely of recycled material. The entire design of ARTEVO TERRA stands for future-proof sustainability throughout its entire life cycle.
