About GEALAN*
Successful design combines functionality with aesthetics. According to this principle, the internationally active GEALAN Group sells innovative window profiles made of PVC. These are developed and manufactured using state-of-the-art processes. Tools are used that are manufactured in the in-house, highly automated tool shop. Subsequently, long-standing partner companies process the PVC profiles into contemporary windows, doors and sliding systems that impress with their attractive appearance, enormous stability, a high degree of safety and excellent thermal insulation values. The GEALAN-acrylcolor® surface technology additionally refines the profiles and offers an enormous variety of design options thanks to the wide range of colours.
Comprehensive services and tools such as architectural consulting or planning software complete the profile by supporting architects and planners in their daily work. The award-winning BIM data offering enables the creation of reliable 3D concepts with original products.
Sustainability at GEALAN
For more than 30 years, GEALAN has been demonstrably committed to processes and products that are increasingly environmentally friendly and resource-efficient. A newly created team is now working on anchoring the topic of sustainability even more firmly in the corporate culture. Its goal is to implement a holistic approach across the company that covers all ESG topics and to integrate sustainability into every business area and decision-making. GEALAN attaches great importance to the recyclability of its products. This means that all production waste and old windows can be recycled by external partners or in the company's own recycling plant. At GEALAN, 30% of the PVC material used already consists of recyclate, and the proportion is still increasing. For even more sustainable PVC formulations, GEALAN uses bio-attributed PVC made from plant residues and waste materials and is certified according to ISCC+ in order to further reduce the CO2 emissions of the raw material used. The electricity demand at the German sites is covered entirely by renewable energies.
Internationally, GEALAN is working with initiatives such as VinylPlus® and EPPA to make the industry more sustainable.
