About GEALAN*

From its main locations in Oberkotzau and Tanna, the GEALAN Group, as a leading manufacturer of PVC profiles, provides the framework for the world of windows.

The basis for this is provided by different, innovative profiles, which are developed and manufactured using state-of-the-art processes related to plastics extrusion. Subsequently, long-standing partner companies process these profiles into contemporary windows, doors and sliding solutions that impress with their attractive appearance, enormous stability, high degree of safety and excellent thermal insulation values.
The tools required for production are manufactured in the in-house, highly automated tool shop in Oberkotzau. Tanna in Thuringia is a central production and logistics location. In addition, GEALAN produces and sells plastic profiles at nine other locations throughout Europe. Comprehensive services round off the profile. GEALAN Architects' Consulting, the Construction Technical Service and the Planner Software 3.0 support architects and planners in their daily work. The award-winning BIM data offering also enables them to reliably create 3D concepts with original products.

Surface technology GEALAN-acrylcolor®

In the product portfolio, new developments complement proven systems in a targeted manner. One focus is on the perfect surface technology of GEALAN-acrylcolor®. In over 40 years on the market, it has proven itself in millions of profile meters. Nine standard colours – including metallic colours – are available across all systems and, on request, 50 special colours with various decorative foils. Their combination with dark profiles will be available from August 2023.

The easy-care surface offers numerous advantages. In addition to optical aspects such as color stability and lightfastness, the inseparable bond and hard surface permanently prevent peeling or flaking of the paint layer. Furthermore, GEALAN-acrylcolor® is a weather-resistant, durable and scratch-resistant surface. It is easy to clean, not least because the elegant brush effect and the closed pores make it insensitive to dirt. In the event that minor cosmetic repairs are required, a commercially available Scotch-Brite pad is sufficient.
