celotec – Surfaces in a new way*

The young company celotec develops, produces and distributes new types of decorative films for the building sector. Whereas plastic surfaces are classically used in this area, celotec uses coated films. This technology offers significantly more design possibilities and exceptional performance.

Diversity in design

In the production of celotec films, an electron beam hardened coating system is used, which is structured in the manufacturing process and thus forms the surface:

• Due to the use of a coating, there are countless possibilities to create expressive solid colours, even in small quantities.
• In addition to the single-colour films, the modern print decors give the building elements a natural look: durable surfaces with the look like real wood, metal or stone surfaces.
• The authentic structuring gives the film surfaces a look ranging from ultramatt to deep wood structures, combined with a pleasant and realistic feel.

Characteristics of the surfaces

Due to the electron beam hardened coating used, the decorative surfaces achieve a previously unattained resistance to mechanical and chemical influences. The surface is easy to clean. The anti fingerprint equipment means that no residues are left behind in the first place. The films are equipped with a technology that reduces heating of the surfaces by solar radiation. This means that even dark colours and decors can be used also at critical parts of the building.

Exterior applications

Under the celotec and spectral brands, exterior weathering resistant films for window profiles, entrance doors, sectional doors and façade elements are available. In addition to the ultramatt surfaces of the spectral ultramatt range, there is a new spectral sand range, which is based on the surface of a matt powdered aluminium window. With the authentic wood prints and wood structures, the celotec mattwood range is a very good alternative to real wood elements.

Continuation in the interior

Using the same technology, the celobon brand offers decor films for interior construction elements. There are special products for wall and ceiling cladding, interior doors, furniture surfaces and flooring systems. Here, too, a variety of colours, decors and structures can be used to give the building elements in the interior a very modern and authentic appearance.

It is also interesting to note that the exterior design can be continued in the interior. For example, an ultramatt surface for window and the front door, corresponding with a wall covering or even the floor in ultramatt in the same colour.
