Deceuninck Germany GmbH

The Deceuninck Group is one of the top three manufacturers of PVC window systems and building products and is active in over 90 countries. Deceuninck develops modern and sustainable solutions for windows and doors, roller shutters, terraces, façades and roof cladding.

Investment in recycling

The company has been committed to reducing the CO2 emissions of its production processes for decades. Sustainability is at the heart of Deceuninck's brand identity. At the end of 2023, Deceuninck finalised a five-year investment plan for its recycling plant in Diksmuide, Belgium. Up to 45,000 tonnes of used PVC can now be processed per year.

The use of recycled materials is an important design criterion in Deceuninck’s R&D processes. The Elegant standard range contains 15 % to 30 % recycled material. With certain frame/sash combinations, a proportion of more than 55 % is achieved, as required by some local authorities. Phoenix profiles lead way with 100 % recycled PVC material.

Climate-neutral by 2030

In addition, Deceuninck has been pursuing an ambitious plan to reach its climate targets for years and had these validated by the SBTi (Science Based Targets Initiative) in September 2023. The company’s climate targets are in line with the Business Ambition for 1.5°C, which aims to limit global warming to 1.5°C. This includes reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 60 % by 2030 and cutting them to zero by 2050.

Window profile system Elegant

Elegant combines minimalist design with excellent thermal insulation, making it easy to achieve the passive house standard. Five different sash designs and three frame depths of 76, 84 and 115 mm can be freely combined with each other. This provides variable solutions for all building requirements, for new builds and renovations and from design-orientated to classic.

The slimline, flush-fitting design “Elegant Abstract” has already won several international awards. The small rebate of just 9 mm is unique for PVC windows.

ThermoFibra glass fibre technology

ThermoFibra windows and doors are stabilised enormously with endless glass fibres, which means that no steel reinforcement is necessary. At the same time, the thermal insulation values are improved up to Uf 0.85 W/m2K and the weight of the elements is considerably reduced. It goes without saying that these profiles are also fully recyclable.

ThermoFibra has additional benefits for fabricators: Inventories are reduced and, since no steel or corner welding connectors are needed for front doors, fabrication time is reduced considerably.
