New GKFP information sheet "Cleaning PVC Windows – The Right Way to Use Disinfectants"

The information sheet summarises what you should pay attention to when cleaning and disinfecting window handles and PVC window frames.

Carefully cleaning surfaces and objects that come in contact with a multitude of hands on a daily basis in order to ensure they are germ-free is an important step to take in the fight against the transmission of pathogens such as the corona virus. However, not all disinfectants are compatible with PVC surfaces. These include alcohol-based disinfectants in particular, which can damage PVC surfaces. For this reason, the Gütegemeinschaft Kunststoff-Fensterprofilsysteme gives window manufacturers and consumers some information on cleaning and the correct use of disinfectants in the new information sheet.
