Record number of visitors for "bonded window constructions

On 24 January 2019, almost 100 visitors took part in the joint symposium of Gütegemeinschaft, GLASWELT and ift Rosenheim at the IntercityHotel in Mainz. The window manufacturers and representatives of the bonding industry informed themselves about the advantages of bonding during the impulse lectures given by Karin Lieb (ift) and Gerald Feigenbutz (GKFP).

The in-house exhibition, which took place for the first time, offered hands-on bonding technology: The visitors took the opportunity to exchange information with representatives of the bonding industry about application technology and to obtain comprehensive information. The trade visitors were able to find out which special adhesive profiles exist on the market, which adhesive technologies are available and which machine solutions are suitable for the respective window manufacturer. A burglary demonstration at ift Rosenheim gave visitors a chance to see for themselves that bonded windows offer better protection against burglary than conventionally bonded windows.

Critical questions during discussion

The participants in the panel discussion, which covered the entire "bonding" value chain, faced critical questions about bonding technology. GLASWELT editor-in-chief Daniel Mund wanted to know for example of window farmer Hans-Jürgen Rieger (Heinrich Meyer-Werke Breloh), how the conversion of the manufacturing to adhesive automatic machines ran off.

Planning adhesive conference 2021

The new concept with impulse lectures, in-house exhibition and discussion arrived with the visitors. We gratefully accept suggestions and ideas for the further development of the event format and, on this basis, start planning the next gluing conference, which will take place at the beginning of 2021.
